Chinese Spy Balloon Shot Down In South Carolina

Earlier this afternoon, the Chinese spy balloon that had been casually floating across the country was finally shot down by the US military.

The Biden administration has no explanation as to why they allowed the balloon to slowly float across the entire country, but finally shot it down off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

China still claims that the balloon was merely a weather balloon that was blown off course – at this point, no other western country believes them.

Fox News reported:

“A senior military official said on Saturday that the Chinese spy balloon was shot down at 2:39 p.m. on Saturday by one air-to-air A9X sidewinder missile fired by an F-22 Raptor that took off from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

The aircraft fired the missile at an altitude of 58,000 feet while the balloon was hovering at an altitude of between 60,000 and 65,000 feet.”
