New KIA Ad Turns Off Prospective Buyers

It’s us. The prospective buyers are me and Tim.

But seriously… we were watching TV when a ridiculous ad for the automobile manufacturer came on that left us seriously questioning whether or not we still want to buy the KIA Sportage we’ve had our eye on.

The commercial shows a driver using his car to clean up the beach, which then allows hundreds of turtles to just swarm the shore out of nowhere.

If there’s any type of virue signaling I hate, it’s ‘Save The Turtles’ virtue signaling.

I’m not sure who the target audience was with this. How did the company go from promoting its cars with commercials of dancing hamsters to depicting their drivers as the second coming of Christ? The dude even looks like he’s straight out of ‘The Chosen.’
