Ronna Romney McDaniel Wins RNC Chair Re-Election

Published

on

After a messy and contentious race for RNC Chair, Ronna Romney McDaniel was re-elected to the position by the majority of the RNC’s voting members.

Many have criticized McDaniel for her work as Chairwoman and feel that the RNC is long overdue for new blood in leadership. Her election was contested by Harmeet Dhillon, Mike Lindell, and Lee Zeldin.

While many RNC members and Republican voters advocated for Dhillon taking McDaniel’s position, she came up short when votes were casted.

McDaniel received 111 votes, Dhillon received 51 votes, Lindell received 4 votes, and Zeldin received 1 vote.

This will be McDaniel’s fourth term as Chairwoman, making her the longest-serving RNC Chair since the Civil War.
