Watch: Finland’s Trans Skater Slips Upon Introduction

Finland has broken the glass ceiling with the first transgender national figure skater to ever fall down immediately upon introduction.

The trans skater, Minna-Maaria Antikainen said that skating for Finland was “childhood dream” before getting hit with a bit of reality.

After falling and not being able to get back up (insert Life Alert meme here), Antikainen’s teammate came to the rescue and helped the skater regain footing.

The skater received both praise for the groundbreaking show of representation, as well as mockery over the fall.
