A large Chinese spy balloon was seen over Montana and continues to float over the United States.

The balloon could be seen with the naked eye and described to be the size of 3 buses.

ABC News spoke with NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder who said: “”The United States government has detected and is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is flying over the continental United States right now. NORAD continues to track and monitor it closely.”

Gen. Glen VanHerck added, “assesses the balloon does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground at this time. The balloon is currently traveling at altitude well above commercial air traffic.”

NORAD is currently working with the Canadian Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces to assess the situation.
