Disney Cuts Thousands of Jobs

The Walt Disney company announced Wednesday it will be cutting the jobs of 7,000 employees – becoming the latest major corporation to cut jobs as economic uncertainty under the Biden administration weighs.

Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement during the company’s first-quarter earnings call – stating that the move is part of a major restructuring aimed at saving the company billions of dollars.
