Maher Compares Wokeness to Communism

Published

on

“The problem with communism AND with some very recent ideologies here at home, is that they think you can change reality by screaming at it – that you can bend human nature by holding your breath. But that’s the difference between reality and your mommy,” snapped Bill Maher near the beginning of his “New Rule” segment this week – which focussed on the “Woke Revolution.”

Maher has historically been liberal, but has stood against cancel culture and those who want to eliminate free speech – even at times saying that the leftists who stand for such things shouldn’t be considered Democrats. This week was no different.

In his biting take on what’s happening in America, Maher came to agree with – whether he knew it or not – many conservative commentators who have compared what the left has been doing to that of the cultural revolution in China that was spearheaded by Mao Zedong.

This is a can’t miss monologue and one that shows that sane people on the left are waking up to what is going on in America – and the fight that lies ahead.
