A McDonald’s customer was in for a huge surprise when he was given $5,000 in cash at a drive-thru instead of his order.

Josiah Vargas was just looking to enjoy a sausage McMuffin from the popular fast food chain when he was handed an additional bag filled with the money.

“I just went to McDonald’s and they just handed me my Sausage McMuffin and this bag,” Vargas explained in a now-viral TikTok. The video has been viewed by millions of people.

Vargas decided to “return this because I’m a good person, I guess,” he said. “Why would you guys do this to me? Do you know how bad I want this money? Why put me in this situation?”

He captured the whole ordeal on video, from his original discovery of the accidental cash payment, to the employees’ reaction when he made the return.
