“Jim will be one of the best senators in the country. I’m honored to support him!” Senator Vance said in a Tweet following the live announcement on the Hugh Hewitt radio show on Tuesday morning. This comes shortly after former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels bailed on running for the seat, vacated by the upcoming retirement of Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) in 2024.

Vance joins a long list of endorsements for Banks that includes Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Marco Rubio (R-FL), Representatives Elise Stefanik (R-NY) Ronny Jackson (R-TX) and Larry Bucshon (R-IN), commentator Mark Levin, and student activist group Turning Point Action.
