REPORT: PlayStation VR2 Projections Halved

Published

on

According to reporting by Bloomberg, Sony has “dramatically reduced projections” for the release of it’s upcoming PlayStation VR2 headset. The headset, scheduled for release on February 22nd, and is priced at a whopping $549 (on top of the steep cost of a PlayStation 5 console which is $399).

Sony clearly thought that launch titles like “Horizon: Call of the Mountain” would carry sales forward but given that the market is currently dominated by the much cheaper and more versatile Meta Quest, it would appear that they have a steeper hill to climb than they initially thought.
