‘The Rock’ Now an XFL Owner, Praises Quarterback AJ McCarron for Taking Pay Cut

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, owner of the XFL team the St. Louis Battlehawks praised his team’s quarterback, A. J. McCarron for taking a pay cut, Fox News reports.

McCarron, the former quarterback of the Cincinatti Bengals decided to make the shift to the XFL to “create memories” with his two younger boys.

In a tweet Friday morning, Johnson praised McCarron, saying:

Takes less money signing with us over the @NFL because he wanted his little boys to see him play. Now he’s 2-0 and led his team to back to back exciting last minute wins. I’d say he’s creating some memories for his boys. AJ’s decision means a helluva lot to me, personally. #XFL

Johnson piled on his praise with another tweet about McCarron a few hours later:
