Entrepreneur, political activist and best-selling author, Vivek Ramaswamy has announced his run for President as a Republican in 2024.

Ramaswamy, who authored both Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam and Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit, and the Path Back to Excellence, has been at the forefront of the culture war for years, actively combatting what he calls a, “national identity crisis.” He announced his run for President and discussed his plans for America on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“We have celebrated our diversity and our differences for so long, that we have forgotten all the ways that we’re just the same,” Ramaswamy told Carlson.

According to Forbes, Ramaswamy is an innovator in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry who is self-made:

“Vivek Ramaswamy continues to make waves in the biotech business with his deals and drug development plans. He was behind the biggest biotechnology initial public offering of 2016, Myovant Sciences, which raised $218 million listing its shares on Nasdaq in October. Ramaswamy formed the company in April and struck a deal with Takeda Pharmaceuticals for a prostate cancer drug and a female infertility drug. Last year, Ramaswamy pulled off the biggest IPO in U.S. biotech history by listing shares of Axovant, a company that is trying to develop a new Alzheimer’s drug. Ramaswamy runs Roivant Sciences, a biotech holding company with an innovative financial strategy to develop drugs, often by purchasing drugs that have been forgotten or abandoned by the pharmaceutical industry.”

Ramaswamy says that change needs to come in the form of reviving America’s national identity by basing merit over identity politics, restoring free speech and once again believing in American exceptionalism.
